Oh man, how much fun was the London Super Comic Con?!?!?!? (I’m going to try my best not to go on about this for the next week like I did with Thoughtbubble although I warn you now I’ve yet to post photos of our booth at the con!).

So first of all a big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth! Absolutely excellent time chatting away to both old and new faces! I could go on for ages saying how great it all was but in fear of making a fool of myself I’m going to keep quiet here.

It was our first convention of the year and got me all revved up for the next few coming up! Actually, this morning I booked a booth at Comica and fingers crossed I hope to be at another convention the following day (just waiting on details). Either way, it’s going to be a busy year!

Anyways, if you’re new to Lloyd and the Bear then welcome! Have a look around and check out the links to the different issues and other bits and pieces like Project Bear which showed how I put together the Bear toy that is on display at the conventions.

If you like what you see (and you have a Facebook account) please click on the Facebook link on the left which will let you receive updates on any big LatB announcements (and only big announcements I assure you so you won’t get hit by post after post I promise!).

On other (more serious) news I’m toying with changing what issues can be viewed from this website. You see, back when I first created this webpage I was quite happy to have all the issues on show as I just wanted to tell the adventures of Lloyd and Bear. Now sure, that meant I was paying out for the website with no money coming my way but I was all fine with that as this is a real labour of love (I would be a terrible businessman).

As time went on though I decided I wanted to start doing the convention circuit and that meant bringing products to sell which included the comics themselves. The problem is that I’m selling the books at a price and yet at the same time they can be viewed for free here and that makes me feel really guilty!

This is why I’m thinking I need to change how the issues will be viewed on the site. It’s a tough one but something I need to work out as I don’t want anyone to think I’m tricking them out of their money by buying the book at a convention only to find they could read it here for free. So yeah, there’s a chance that the book will only be shown as a preview here (but I will warn you in plenty of time if that happens)! This really makes my brain hurties!

Okay, so this whole post went a bit negative didn’t it?

On happier news I did a search through my boxes of old artwork (pre-Lloyd and the Bear) and found not only my original notes for the sadly lost issue #6 of LatB but also some of the pages that had already been printed out! This was such a relief and means that I already have a head start in getting to work with redoing the issue!

I am going to say now that I will release issue #6 in June which would be exactly a year after it was supposed to be released and then the following issues will be released every three months after like they use to be (it’s okay, I’m backing stuff up now)!

I really can’t wait to get issue #6 out though which is the first of a two part story and one that I can’t wait to tell!

For those of you who were with me last year as I put the original book together you may remember I also did a sketch every day that I posted on this site. I have a new idea this time round that I plan to do but I’ll tell you closer to the time what it is!

Okay, this was a long post wasn’t it? My poor typing fingers!

More very soon though I promise including pictures of our booth at the convention and cool things that I bought while I was there! Bear hugs!
