Hello again! I know it’s been a while since there’d been sketches but I do have a reason (and a sad story) for this!

On Friday evening after having done my sketch to post here (a Eurovision inspired picture of Bear singing badly with Lloyd covering his ears desperately trying to block out the noise) I returned home to find that I had lost my sketch book! I really liked that sketch pad and although there was only that one sketch in it I was jointly annoyed at myself and sad. I ended up taking the weekend off from doing sketches but after picking up a replacement book yesterday I’ve done four new sketches which will make up for the lost four days of artwork!

When thinking on what to draw I rembembered back to when I was a kid and lost my Chewbacca action figure in a field. I searched for hours trying to find that toy and it was only as I was about to give up did I found him (there’s a moral in that story) and this became the basis of today’s sketches!

Apologies for the rough artwork by the way but I was on another jostly train (is ‘jostly’ even a word?) on the way home when I did this. The train carriage is quickly becoming my art studio……

By the way, the second panel was influenced by Andy Ruttons Owly books where the story is told only in pictures and if you haven’t read any of them I stongly recommend going out and picking up a book!

P.S. Does anyone think that the (almost) loss of my Chewbacca figure lead to a subconcious decision to mentioning him in issue #2? Hmm……
