Lloyd and the Bear

I do love this day and even more so this year as there’s nine books I’m hoping to pick up! Usually there’s about five titles that I really want but this time it’s a wee bit more! Excited!

I know I haven’t posted anything in the last week but I’m getting my head down and working on issue #6. It all started of a bit slow working through the old work that I had managed to save from the deaded PC but now I’m working on new panels and really enjoying putting the book together! I also had a break from doing artwork as well as I was working on putting together a Bear 3.0 (which didn’t quite work sadly) so it feels good to be back doing artwork again.

Last year I was given the suggestion of putting together a FCBD Lloyd and the Bear book for today but with the conventions and deadlines going on it never happened. In an effort to do something though here’s a sketch I did back at Demoncon3 that I’m really happy with (although you can see by the sketchy lines why I use a PC for my work, right?). Hope you like it!

PS. I’m up this early as I had a nightmare that I had missed FCBD. Is that sad?

While doing the weekly shop this morning I was really pleased to see the latest issue of Kraze Club on sale. If you flip to page 5 you’ll see a Lloyd and the Bear strip at the bottom of the page! Yay!

It’s a reworking of the original flier I did ages back for LatB and I’m now hard at work on doing a new strip which will hopefully show up in a future issue.

So a busy weekend has been had with Comica Comiket on the Saturday and Demoncon on Sunday.

Comica proved to be crazy busy and we were all right packed in to the hall at the Bishopsgate Institute! I was also well shocked out the huuuuuge table I was set up with! Look!

I had hoped to have some more stock on sell but unfortunately that didn’t happen. It was a good day though with some real cool artists up on the stage doing their work which was being shown on the big screen behind them.

With Sunday I took a trip out to Maidstone where I’ve never been before (although I want to go again as it’s right lovely) and got set up with a smaller table which I figure looked a lot better – what do you think?

It was a real busy convention that also had some wrestling matches on (awesome) and I had an excellent time!

That being said, Bear managed to (again) get in to trouble!

(It all worked okay though.)

With the conventions over for me now until July (as MCM in May is now booked out and I was much to late) I’m going to be concentrating on getting issue #6 finished off. I’ll keep you all up to date with how that’s getting on along with a few sneak peaks of some of the pages as they’re completed.
